Mermaid's Muse Bed & Breakfast is the perfect destination for a relaxing retreat or a refreshing rest-stop. Located in beautiful Brookings, Oregon, on the Wild Rivers Coast, you will enjoy beautiful ocean view rooms with private outdoor hot tubs. Freshly prepared hot breakfast served every morning. John and Nancy's goal is to provide a memorable experience, whether you enjoy socializing or just want to have a relaxing weekend by yourselves.

The Mermaid's Muse is gifted with spectacular ocean views due to its location overlooking Pelican Bay, the mouth of the Chetco River, and the California coast line to our south. Coastal fog winding through the foothills is a typical morning view from your hot tub.

Private parking and
free EV charging is also available.
Hot Tub
The outdoor hot tub for your room is for your use only. We maintain the tubs daily. The view from each is beautiful and your privacy is maintained through careful plantings and fence. Clothing optional.

Local Activities
Oceans, rivers, mountains, and forests (including our beloved Redwoods) provide the activities here in the Wild Rivers Coast. Hiking, fishing, boating, wildlife viewing, nature bathing and exploring are all popular. Oregon's public beaches are free for anyone to use.
Restaurants
Brookings has a variety of places to eat. Just a few of outstanding examples within a few blocks of us are Pacific Sushi (specializing in sustainable seafood), Black Trumpet (offering wonderful Mediterranean options), Superfly (with delicious lunch and dinner options as well as a variety of vodka drinks), and last but not least, Khun Thai with a healthy, fresh Thai menu.

Just a few of the scenic areas within miles of Mermaid's Muse are Harris Beach, Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor, Jedidiah Smith Redwoods, Loeb State Park, Redwood Nature Trail, and Chetco Point.

Our typical breakfast includes freshly baked scones warm from the oven, organic eggs from our on-site hens, as well as a selection of cereals, yogurt, berries and fruit. We serve organic produce and dairy whenever possible.
